Documented recordThe synodic month is 29.53 days. The Metonic cycle closes it: 19 solar years equal 235 lunar months. Every tradition in this dossier is built on that arithmetic, which is why the same windows keep reappearing in records that never read each other.
Documented recordThe one physical coupling measured and reproduced in a laboratory is tidal: the moon's pull on the oceans. Everything else in this document is graded against that standard. When the record says the moon does something to bodies, it is either pointing at a measured force or naming a window. The lane tags say which.
CorroboratedThe borrowed-light law is the load-bearing claim of the whole dossier. "The moon has no light of its own" appears, in some form, across nine traditions: Talmudic Sanhedrin 38b (the new month is diminished), Zohar 1:20a, Agrippa, the Taoist k'an vessel, the Hermetic world-soul chain. It is not a claim about photons. It is a claim about what the moon is.
The moon borrows light. Every tradition in this dossier reads that as a statement about the soul.
MODULE 02 · CORRESPONDENCE

Documented recordThe honest finding, stated up front: the moral calendar most people know (new = set intentions, full = release, waning = let go) is a twentieth-century Wiccan synthesis. It is real, it is practiced, and it is not ancient. Treating it as ancient is the most common error in this field.
CorroboratedWhat survives when you cut the synthesis away: the moon as gate between mortal and immortal, the waxing and waning as the soul's own arc, and borrowed light as the soul-type. Three claims, nine traditions, no shared source.
The calendar you know is recent. The moon it points at is old.
MODULE 03 · CREATION
The window is a timing law, not a creation law.

Documented recordFour independent records describe the same four-window shape: plant at the new, work in the waxing, peak at the full, integrate in the waning. Varro, in the Loeb text, verbatim. Agrippa, verbatim. Chen Zhixu's Yuan-dynasty neidan, on the 晦朔弦望 (hui-shuo-xian-wang) four stations. Add modern manifestation practice and the Epidaurus incubation rites, and the shape stands in five places that never cited each other.
Documented recordThe modern substrate, graded as found. Barde et al. 2026 (bioRxiv preprint): 14- and 28-day mouse behavioral oscillators under constant conditions, peaking at full and new Moon, persisting in Bmal1 and CRY1/2 knockouts, i.e. endogenous oscillators phase-locking to the lunar signal independent of the circadian clock. Preprint, not yet peer-reviewed. Helfrich–Förster 2025: the menstrual-synchrony record holds pre-2010 and is January-only post-2010, which is what a publication artifact looks like. Tides remain the one measured coupling.
InferredThe field mapping. The window is a field-amplitude cycle: new moon is the zero-crossing, minimum amplitude, maximum receptivity to a set command, and this is where the tradition plants. Waxing is rising amplitude: the coherent heart, trained by the mind, amplifies the planted intention as it locks onto the rising cycle, and this is where the tradition works. Full is the broadcast peak, maximum amplitude, where the tradition harvests, and where the documented REM and dream peak sits. Waning is decay into form: the broadcast settles into material form, and the tradition cuts and stores.
The tradition never says the moon creates things. It says the moon times them.
MODULE 04 · THE SOUL
Stealing a soul is a documented practice family.

Documented recordFrazer's case list is the spine of this module: the Amboina rite, where the body is killed and the soul is trapped inside it; the Salish rite; the Indian body-swap. "Stealing the soul" is not a metaphor in these records. It is a procedure, with steps, with an operator, and with a failure mode.
Documented recordThe strongest documented LUNAR soul bindings, in order of grade. First, the Chinese sovereignty split: De Groot, verbatim, shen rules the moon day 3 through 15 and kwei rules after the 15th, and "the hwun or khi returns to heaven; the body and the p'oh return to the Earth." Second, the Egyptian new-moon ba-spells, Coffin Texts 154–160, the Book of the Moon bound inside the funerary soul-texts, spell 155 naming the ba of the new moon. Third, the Zohar's seven-day soul-to-star shuttle, verified through Hida. Fourth, Shabbat 152a, verified on Sefaria: a person's soul mourns for them during all seven days of mourning, on Job 14:22.
Documented recordThe Grade-A soul-to-moon texts are Plato's, and the research forced one correction: Phaedo 249c–e sends the dead to the moon, and Timaeus 40c–d mixes the "third race" into the moon. The air-as-soul attribution usually written as Anaximander's is Anaximenes' (DL 1.42–53); Anaximander survives as Apeiron, the flame-ring cosmogony, and the retribution fragment. Empedocles' moon physics is solid (K&R fr. 435); his souls passage is not yet verified.
InferredThe framework read. The soul's intention is the servo setpoint. "Stealing" is interception of that setpoint at the loosest boundary, and every record that locates the loose boundary puts it at the new moon, where sovereignty passes between shen and kwei and the soul is in transit. Recovery rites share one condition across every tradition: coherence. The cord, the calling, the naming, the breath. The plant re-locks, or it drifts.
You do not pull the soul out. You intercept the command while the boundary is loose.
MODULE 05 · PRACTICE
What to do in each window.

Eight protocol cards. Every one is either a documented rite or a direct translation of one, with the window it belongs to and the lane the claim sits in. Open the one you are in.
Write one sentence. Not a wish: a setpoint. The new moon is the zero-crossing in every record that names one, and every record treats it as the planting window. Journal it, bury it, forget it until the full.

5.5 to 6 breaths per minute. HRV coherence at roughly 0.1 Hz is the documented in-phase condition, and the waxing is the amplification phase: the plant is getting louder as it locks onto the rising cycle. This is where the mind trains the heart.

Water exposed to moonlight, drunk or poured. Documented across multiple traditions as a charging rite. Do it once, at the full, and stop performing it. The rite is the timing; the repetition is the ego.

Epidaurus incubation: sleep in the threshold and keep the journal by the bed. The new moon is the door in the record, and the dream window peaks where the boundary is loosest. One night is enough. The vigil that drags on is the practice becoming the point.

MODULE 06 · INTEGRATION

Working hypothesisThe framework, at its own grade. The divine is the Higgs/EM/plasma field. The heart is a bio-crystalline oscillator. HRV coherence at roughly 0.1 Hz, five to six breaths a minute, is the in-phase condition with the source. The mind does not command the heart; it trains it. That is the whole engine, and the rest of the Unified Code is built from it.
InferredThe lunar mapping onto that engine. The soul's intention is the servo setpoint. The error signal is the mind training the heart toward it. Coherence is the in-phase lock: the state in which the setpoint is being honored instead of fought. And the lunar window is the phase where the coupling loosens, the setpoint becomes interceptable, and the tradition's planting, harvesting, and cutting all happen on schedule.
InferredWhat that makes of the moon in the model. The moon is not a god. It is a phase marker on the field. The practice never asks the moon for anything; it times the work to the field's own rhythm, the way a sailor reads the tide. Every rite in Module 05 is a timing decision wearing a ritual costume.

Documented recordThe setpoint-interception model (Module 04, Module 06) is the load-bearing inference of the whole dossier: the soul's intention as command signal, stealing as interception at the loosest boundary, coherence as the condition every recovery rite shares.
